AberWorks is your opportunity to earn an income while you study. AberWorks offers roles in range of professional services and academic departments. AberWorks offers flexible work placements which enables you to work around your learning schedule.

We have a range of roles available throughout the year. Register for AberWorks and gain access to all available opportunities.

What kind of roles are available?

AberWorks includes opportunities for students who wish to earn while they learn. The opportunities available range from Catering, Administrative work, Ambassador roles and more.

During term-time if work is available, you may choose to work up to 15 hours per week, with more hours possible during vacation periods.

Salary will be dependent on the casual role you undertake. Work could be based on any of the University’s campuses including the Old College. You have the choice of accepting work that fits around your schedule.

Registering for AberWorks

To register for AberWorks, you need to complete the following steps:

Step 1: You will need to register for AberWorks first before applying for any vacant role. You will need to ensure that all forms are completed and then press ‘submit’ when done.

Step 2: Once you submit your registration form, you will receive an e-mail asking you to complete a Right To Work check. You will be invited to visit us in the office, and we will tell you what you need to bring and the time slot to complete your Right To Work Check.

Step 3: Once we’ve completed the step 2, you will be given access to AberWorks via e-mail. Once you’ve logged into AberWorks you will then have access and be able to apply for any of the advertised roles.

Logging in to AberWorks

**You can only log in to AberWorks once the registration process is complete (see above). **

You will also need to be on the Aberystwyth University network in order to see the page. This means you either need to be on campus, or using the University VPN. Please see here for more info on the VPN.

Enter your student username (without @aber.ac.uk on the end) and your usual AU password.
